This Reddit user and natural born DIY-er had several small issues on his hands. First, he had a sad old guest bedroom that desperately needed a change, and was gravely underused to begin with. Second, he and his wife were ready to start trying for their first kid, which meant they needed to clear out an existing room, likely their office. And third, both of their parents visited them semi-frequently, which meant they couldn't get rid of the guest bedroom.Obviously, the two had to get creative. But they also had to remain practical. They couldn't eliminate the guest room, nor could they loft the bed - getting up and down would be too cumbersome for their parents. So naturally, they improvised.
