This Ferret Mom Just Wants To Get Everyone To Bed...Including Her Human's Hand

Moms everywhere know what a difficult task it can be to get your youngsters into bed at night. It’s important to be firm, but loving, and not take no for an answer — no matter how many times they beg for just “five more minutes.”

And this mama ferret knows the drill so well, she insists on dragging her humans into the mix, too. After making sure her kids are tucked away, she comes back for her human’s hand and just won’t give up. It’s so hilarious and adorable.

Hey, she’s just trying to make sure you get all the rest you need! Actually fitting in the cage is secondary to good sleep.

Every Morning, She Goes To This Field...These Animals Are Masters Of Disguise

Farm animals aren’t known for being the most secretive, sneaky, or subtle of creatures. But these sheep might actually be ninjas with their superior stealth skills.

When Canadian farmer Liezel Kennedy of Pilgrim Farms drove out for her daily morning check on her group of sheep, it appeared that all 500 had somehow vanished over night. As it turns out, they were simply hiding in plain sight.

Do you see them?

How about now?

Getting any clearer yet?

Ah, there we go!

(via BuzzFeed)

Kennedy admits she actually drove past the camouflaged fluff balls before realizing they were just blending into the background. Maybe the CIA should look into starting an all-sheep secret task force.

They Were Attempting To Photograph Their Baby Boy When A Curious Visitor Photobombed Them

Louisiana-based photographer Megan Rion from Imagine That Photography has the skills it takes to show off your family in their best light. However, it’s her wild, woodland friend that makes some moments truly memorable.

This sweet, friendly doe likes to say hello (and steal the show) any time Rion makes a trek to the woods for her scenic photo shoots.

Newborn baby Connor was the most recent client treated to her cameo appearance.

And they even have proof that this wasn’t some Photoshop trickery!

Our day with Maggie and baby Conner yesterday :) simple smile

In fact, the cutie has stopped by so many times that Rion has given her a name, Maggie.

I wouldn’t be surprised if all the attention started to go to Maggie’s cute little head! But hey, she’s earned it. You can find more of Rion’s photography on her Facebook page — including an album dedicated to the scene-stealing starlet.

This Adorable, Little Duckling Just Can't Let His Savior Out Of His Sight!

Ducklings are known for being more of the follower types than born leaders. It’s just in their genes! Who can blame them, though? There’s nothing wrong with putting your trust in someone older and wiser, and falling under his or her wing.

This little duckling got separated from his feathered family…but, luckily, he found someone else to follow through life when a caring man took the poor duckling into his home. The resulting relationship is ridiculously adorable.

He can definitely keep up with the big guys.

Just look how happy he is!

“Daaad, wait up!”

Not only is this precious…this duckling now gets a second chance at life. Without his human dad, there’s no way he would have survived in the wild.

This Horse And Dog Are The Best Of Friends, Even Though They're Totally Different

For this dog and horse, it turns out the definition of love goes far beyond anything we thought possible. Because although they look different — from their size to their species — this unlikely pair is adorably and completely devoted to one another. Just watch as they embrace to show their affection…

video-player-present

There’s no doubting these two have a great relationship. I’d love to see them roaming through the fields together…let’s just make sure someone films the sequel to this Nicholas Sparks story in the making!

This Duck Is So Much Better At Soccer Than I Could Ever Hope To Be

I can admit that I’m not the greatest when it comes to athletics. But I didn’t think I would ever be eclipsed by a sporty duck. The dog from Air Bud, sure, but seriously…a duck??

Prepare to be amazed by this fine-feathered soccer star in the making. He is in the zone and nothing is breaking his coordination as he receives pass after pass. If there are any talent scouts out there reading this, you might want to sign this kid quack — er, I mean, quick.

video-player-present

Gooooooaaaaaalll!

If I don’t see this cutie at the next Olympics, I will be so disappointed. Unless it’s just because he’s too busy remaking The Mighty Ducks with a more literal interpretation.

When These Cats Dive Off Of An Icy Pier, They're So Confused By What They Find

If you really want to see a cat’s eyes light up, just give them a good whiff of some fresh fish. Their little brain goes nuts for the seafood delight.

Unfortunately for this feline duo, they can’t quite get their paws on the fish they found under frozen water. Not for lack of (adorable) trying, of course. Alas, their silly attempts are no match for the water’s protective shield of ice.

“Follow me, dude, I see lunch!”

“Be careful, you don’t want to spook it.”

“Gotcha!”

“Wait, why don’t I gotcha?”

“Why isn’t this working???”

“Hey, this is harder than it looks!”

“Ugh, whatever, I wasn’t that hungry anyway.”

Sorry, fuzzballs. Maybe you’ll have better luck just raiding the grocery store tuna. But you totally get an A for effort.

27 Examples Of What It's REALLY Like To Work From Home With Your Pet Around

Working from home can feel like an endless struggle against distractions, especially if those distractions happen to be cute and fuzzy.

Our animal friends just don’t understand why we would be home all day and not spend every second of that time with them. My cat loves to squeeze himself between my laptop and pin my arms down…and then look at me like I’m the rude one when I try to keep typing. If only they could understand all this annoying work stuff is what gives them their treats and toys!

1. “Next thing on your to-do list: snuggle me.”

2. “No, no more typing.”

3. “You’ve been working for five whole minutes! Let’s play!”

4. Making sure her human meets all those important cuddle deadlines.

5. “We’ll get through this expense report together, buddy.”

6. “You must answer my riddle* before you can have your laptop.”

*The riddle is chin scratches

7. Finally, an organization solution for your fuzzy files.

8. “Are you done yet?”

“…how about now?”

9. “Dude, ever hear of spellcheck?”

10. He ordered decaf.

11. “That last email was ruff, let’s sleep on it.”

12. “I’m way cuter than a spreadsheet.”

13. Adding some helpful clipart to your presentation.

14. “Seriously, how is it not nap time yet?”

15. Good thing they spent all that money on an ergonomic chair.

16. “Could you type a little quieter?”

17. The post-lunch crash can be so brutal.

18. “Jenkins! I said I want that report right meow!”

19. “Told ya I wouldn’t be in the way.”

20. “Thanks for warming it up for me, man.”

21. “You really just spend all day staring at that box?”

22. “It’s after 6 p.m. and I did not approve you for overtime.”

23. “You don’t really need this job anyway, right?”

A photo posted by @lwdw_eol_doula on

24. “Why do you keep moving my pillow around? So rude.”

25. “See, it says right here, ‘Stop working, play with the kitten."”

26. He takes his proofreading duties very seriously.

27. They’ve been arguing over using a pie chart vs a bar graph for over an hour now.

For reference, this post took me three times as long to complete as it should have with my little dude demanding my attention. There’s just no compromising with these persistent cuties.

This Silly Dog Won't Stop Barking At His Bed, But It's For An Adorable Reason

You might think there’s something wrong with this silly pup who won’t stop barking at her bed, but she has good reason.

Her little brother happens to be burrowed away in there. He pops up to play the cutest game of peekaboo I’ve ever seen with his big sis. I think she wants a turn as the peekaboo-er (yes, this is a word…that I made up). Or maybe just a nap in the comfy-looking bed.

Who wants to bet that she ended up just sitting on him once the camera stopped rolling?

A Sweet Little Girl Plays Peek-A-Boo With Her Own Reflection

Entertaining a child is normally a rewarding (but totally exhausting) experience. You constantly need to come up with new material, or you’ll be forced to pay the consequences. Luckily for these parents, however, their child is far more creative than most when it comes to entertaining herself.

All this little one needs is a mirror and her own reflection to have a good time!

She’s having the time of her life and making things easier for her parents. I’m sure they’re both eternally grateful for that.

When She Saw This Little Guy Struggling In The Floods, She Had To Save Him

Earlier this month, after South Carolina experienced some serious flooding, Sarah Scruggs took a walk through the neighborhood to see how bad the damage really was. While the flooding did, in fact, take 15 human lives, Scruggs was able to help save a furrier life from the wreckage…

She spotted this little guy, motionless, submerged in a puddle. She saw bubbles and quickly scooped him up.

After some rest, little Arthur showed vast improvement.

A video posted by Sarah Scruggs (@scruggers4) on

He mainly needed hydration, so Scruggs fed him Pedialyte before graduating to meat and egg-free puppy formula.

Scruggs has understandably become attached to her new friend…

But she knows he’ll be much, much happier to be released back into the wild.

A photo posted by Sarah Scruggs (@scruggers4) on

Because while watching this teeny nugget sleep is the best thing ever…

(We’re not even kidding.)

She knows that he’ll be much happier running around with his squirrel friends.

A video posted by Sarah Scruggs (@scruggers4) on

Although, who knows, maybe he’ll come back some day soon to say hello to his human mom.

A photo posted by Sarah Scruggs (@scruggers4) on

He does, after all, have a lot to thank her for!

At about six weeks old, Arthur is almost ready to go back into the wild…just as soon as he starts eating nuts and seeds.

Until then, Scruggs is enjoying what little time she has left with him!

He’s quite the lucky squirrel.

Thank goodness such a caring person was there at the right time. Not everyone would have taken all the time and patience to care for a helpless animal in need. Luckily, she knew what she was doing.

If you come across an animal in need, call your local department of animal resources or animal control for tips on what to do or where to bring him or her.

Watching These Puppies Go For Their Very First Swim Will Melt Your Heart

Feeling stressed today? Well, there’s only one cure for that, and it comes in the form of an epically cute puppy video.

These sweet goldie babies just aren’t really familiar with the whole “swimming” thing. They’re a little hesitant to dive in, but a few of the brave cuties know that the only way to get used to the water is to make a big splash! And that’s exactly what they did.

video-player-present

They’ll all be Olympic champions in no time. I can see it in their eyes. These babies are superstars.

A Great Dane Puppy Just Really, Really Wants Some Affection From Her Doberman Bro

We’ve all been there: we’ve had an exhausting day at work or running errands and all we want to do when we get home is collapse. But then the phone rings or the kids are running around craving attention…suddenly sleep seems like a pipe dream.

Sonar, a doberman mix, knows this feeling all too well…because no sooner than the second he shut his eyes, Libby the adorable great dane puppy wanted to strike up a play session.

I’m surprised Sonar actually got a break — good thing Libby’s mom was nearby to get her off the big guy’s back. Just give him an hour, girl.

This Tiny Baby Raccoon Fell Out Of A Tree -- And Into A Whole New Life

One day while walking in her hometown of Nassau, Bahamas, Rosie Kemp found a baby raccoon that had fallen out of a tree. The mother raccoon was nowhere to be seen, and the baby was injured and in need of help. Together with her daughter, Laura Young, Kemp decided to nurse the baby back to health.

The mother-daughter team named the little raccoon Pumpkin and when she was recovered, she went to live with Young and her husband — and their two dogs.

It didn’t take long for Pumpkin to settle in…and boy did she fit in well.

“She instantly bonded with us and our two rescue dogs and follows [us] everywhere we go,” Young says.

Like, really well.

Pumpkin and the dogs immediately got along, and now, the trio plays, snuggles, and lives together very happily. Since she was only a baby when she came to live with the Youngs, she simply considers herself part of the pack — and that means respecting the other members.

“She is able to play and be rough with them and she respects them when they have had enough,” Young says, explaining how Pumpkin’s behavior was shaped by her new siblings.

Pumpkin loves hanging out with the dogs, playing outside, and of course getting into just about everything. Raccoons have very dextrous front paws, and are able to do things like open jars and untie knots.

Since they aren’t domesticated the way dogs are, their behavior is very different. Young says that Pumpkin can be “moody,” but for the most part, she’s happy living the domestic life, and enjoys fried eggs, watermelon, and has even learned how to use the toilet.

When It's Lunchtime, This Daddy Does Something Hilarious While Feeding His Baby

When this little girl sits down to each lunch every day, she’s met with something even more awesome than a great meal. Thanks to her adorable dad, she gets a show, too! We’ve all heard of parents who make airplane noises as they spoon feed their little ones, but this guy’s approach to mealtime is far from ordinary.

Are you ready for the most adorable concert you’ve ever seen?

video-player-present

How cute is that? This little girl is lucky that she’s treated to beautiful music along with her favorite snacks every day. I’m not sure how he’s going to top this performance when dinner rolls around, but something tells me that he’ll come up with another epic show when the pressure is on.

This Toddler's Argument Against Nap Time Is The Cutest Thing Ever

There comes an age where nap time no longer seems like the best thing ever. Instead, it’s a pointless, childish activity that takes time away from playtime! Of course, later in life, nap time once again becomes appreciated and sometimes necessary…but that’s much later, and this little boy is nowhere near that.

He is definitely not all about this whole napping idea…

And his little “no nap time” dance is adorable!

video-player-present

Fast-forward five minutes…

Fast-forward 20-30 years…

“Expense reports can wait. Get outta here, Carl.”

Resist the nap for as long as you want, little guy, but sooner or later, the 3 p.m. sandman will come for you!

A Hurricane Swept This Baby Out Of Her Tree, But Now She's Living The Good Life

When Hurricane Isaac struck Louisiana three years ago, it caused considerable destruction, leaving people with a lot to clean up. But it’s not just humans who are affected by storms — animals are, too. They can lose their homes just like humans…and that’s just what happened to Jill.

She was just a baby squirrel when the hurricane knocked her out of her nest. Luckily for Jill, though, she was rescued.

Today, she’s living large in the home of her new human family.

And she’s definitely enjoying herself.

She likes taking naps…

…and shredding magazines.

And of course she always enjoys a snack.

She can sometimes get a bit dramatic, but that’s okay. Jill is living the life.

Jill’s human says that she’s adapted quite well to her new digs, and over three years, has come to really make it her home.

She’s even used to the dog and the cat, although she and the cat, Binks, are kept away from each other just in case.

Here she is enjoying some sleepy quality time with her humans.

But when she’s more awake, she enjoys stealing socks.

Look out for Jill!

You can see more of this adorable girl on Instagram, and trust us, literally every photo is just the sweetest. And as usual, if you ever happen upon an injured wild animal, your best bet is to call animal control before doing anything else. They might be cute, but safety first!
