One of our dog’s many jobs is to protect his or her house from intruders and unwanted guests. Each pup makes their own judgement calls on the characters that enter their homes, and sometimes their apprehension is completely warranted. Other times, however, it’s a little harder to see why they’re so upset about something…

Like this pup and his treat, for instance.

Personally, I don’t see what’s so gosh darn threatening about it, but maybe I’m missing something. Either that, or this dog is just adorably weird. (I’m going to go with the latter.)

Someone give this adorable bulldog an Oscar! He’s totally earned it.

When his owner comes in to find him on the bed, the cute little guy looks so exhausted, completely weary of all the world’s woes…but it turns out, he has sneaky plans to attack her with cuteness! The sweet boy will totally steal your heart.

What an adorable little trickster! Even if you hate surprises, you can’t help but love this one.

Do you ever feel like struggle is following you around? No matter how small or large the task is in front of you, it just seems impossible to accomplish. It’s like there’s something waiting at each step to set you back.

This poor pup knows exactly how you feel, but he makes it look a lot more hilarious. The chubby lil’ guy is having the hardest time planting his cute patootie in the patio chair. It’s rough for him, but it’ll put a smile on your face.

You have to watch to the very end for the ultimate fail:

Walk it off, champ. You’ll show that stupid chair who’s boss next time, for sure!

We’ve all come across a problem in our lives that, at first, seems too huge to conquer. Usually, we would say it’s important to pull yourself up by your bootstraps, because nothing is as impossible as our fears make us think.

However, I’m not sure this hilarious little guy has much of a prayer when he takes on his much, much bigger buddy in a round of tug-of-war. But the silly pup refuses to surrender! Luckily, the big guy takes it all in stride.

I’m sure they’ll have an epic rematch when the little dude gets a bit bigger. For now, he’s probably better off saving his strength.
