This Sweet Dog Was Abandoned At A Shelter, And You'll Be Stunned When You See Why

Those of us who have visited shelters know that they’re filled to the brim with animals that are in desperate need of finding forever homes. Many people who take on pets forget that these animals need to be treated like family. Thousands of them are abandoned each year because people think they’re too needy, too rough with kids, or too aggressive.

But not many are left behind because they’re too affectionate.

Meet Jubilee. She’s the adorable one-year-old pup that was abandoned because she always wanted to be by her owner’s side.

Meet Jubilee. She

Jubilee embodies many of the characteristics that people look for when searching for the perfect companion, but the man who dropped her off wanted nothing to do with her loyalty.

She also suffers from anxiety issues, so her former owner’s bizarre choice to give her up was actually a blessing in disguise.

Just one day after being dropped off, Jubilee found a new home! A wonderful woman named Samantha knew that this pup would be perfect for her family, and that her family would be perfect for her.

She even gained a puppy sister and a human brother in the process!

Her new sister clearly has to warm up to the idea, but she’s working on it. No one can resist Jubilee’s cuteness for long.

What’s even more incredible is that multiple families actually showed up to rescue Jubilee. Samantha’s family ended up being the best fit for her, so the other people were able to rescue other pups that day!

Nana The Earless Pit Bull Had A Rough Beginning, But Now She's Happy As A Clam

Nana the earless pit bull was rescued from the plight that too many female dogs experience: repeatedly forced to birth litter after litter of puppies, the poor girl wasn’t allowed to live her own life. Nana’s previous owners kept her in a cage and watched her health and spirits drastically deteriorate without a care…absolutely horrible.

When she was surrendered at age eight, she was finally able to start experiencing happiness and love.

As you can see, Nana absolutely loves her life now.

But she wasn’t always a contender for happiest pup on the planet…quite the opposite, in fact.

Her vet estimates she had 14+ litters of puppies in her lifetime. That’s about two litters per year.

Not only was this sweetheart treated like a means to an end — an object — she was also neglected.

Her vets can only guess that she’s left with no ears due to a botched ear-clipping procedure when she was very young.

The breeders wanted her to look like the stereotypical “tough pit bull,” with pointy ears…obviously not who Nana is at all.

But no one took proper care of her following the procedure, and after numerous infections…she was left deaf and earless.

Her teeth were almost all gone when she was rescued, too.

Either they were removed to keep her from biting humans and male dogs, or they fell out from neglect.

She has no problem chowing down on food…

…destroying toys, and nibbling on furniture just like any other dog, though!

Since Stephanie Doris took Nana into her home in 2013, the pup has learned to trust humans and enjoy the world around her.

Doris is a first-year medical student and failed foster mom…once she realized how special Nana was, she couldn’t let her go!

Now they’re inseparable.

One of Nana’s favorite things to do is ride in the car.

She’s an outstanding copilot! Though she hasn’t learned to stick her head out the window, she loves to watch the world go by.

She adores going on adventures of any kind!

When she lived in California, Nana used to love splashing around in the waves. Doris was sure she’d be afraid of the water, but she waddled right in with a big smile on her face! Now that the two live in Nevada, they have a great time splashing around at the dog park instead.

What’s her favorite activity? Sleeping.

She takes it very seriously!

After all those years of living in fear and discomfort, who could blame her for getting in all the nap time she can.

She deserves the rest!

Though Nana’s deaf and can’t hear how much her mom loves her, she definitely knows it.

Doris has one key thing to say about her baby…

“She is my treasure.”

When asked what Nana likes to do in her free time, Doris summed up her answer with a perfect reflection of the girl’s resilience: “Nana absolutely loves life now. It’s truly incredible to think of everything this dog has gone through. To be able to forgive, move on, trust, and love again is so special, and so inspiring. If she can do it, anyone can!”

This Happy Dog Could NOT Be More Excited About Post-Rain Puddles

A lot of dogs hate thunderstorms. The loud booms terrify them, causing the cuties to run to mom or dad for shelter. Heck, even some humans are afraid of thunder and lightning, either because they’re scared a tree that’s a little too close to their house will get struck down and land on their roof, or just because they’re spooky at night!

But this pup loves nighttime thunderstorms, because he knows what that means for tomorrow morning’s walk…

“PUDDLES!”

SO. MUCH. FUN.

He really can’t get enough of those temporary rivers! Maybe it’s time to take this happy guy out of suburbia and into the great wild to frolic in some real streams.

This Sweet Husky Could NOT Be Happier About His New Pool

These hot August days can really get to you. You’ve already suffered through June and July, and although the easy-breezy days of summer are great, you’re almost wishing for September to come. Well, this husky pup just changed his daydreaming from jumping into piles of leaves, to…

Splashing in his new pool!

I guess any body of water will do, though!

As long as there are nice, refreshing pools to jump into, summer can stay as long as it wants, in my opinion!

Long. Live. Summer!

This Cute Shiba Can't Stop Smiling...Despite The Terrible Hand She's Been Dealt

Despite suffering from both glaucoma (an eye ailment that may lead to blindness) and Cushing’s disease (a condition that comes from high cortisol and can result in depression, loss of muscle, and osteoporosis), one perpetually smiling pup manages to maintain an equally sunny attitude. Cinnamon has become quite the celebrity because of her particularly happy face, with strangers stopping his mom, Ashley, and dad, Andrew, on the street all the time to inquire about the shiba inu’s gleeful grin.

Here’s the whole bright-eyed family.

Cinnamon is an 11-year-old cuddle buddy who needs lots of love and attention from her parents.

If she’s left alone at home, or across the room during TV time, she’ll mope until one of them gets up to pick her up and plop her right down in the middle.

That’s right, this old pup is lazy as ever, but her parents aren’t about to just leave her there in the corner whimpering, just because she’s stubborn! Would you?

Andrew got Cinnamon in 2004, when she was just six months old.

…But now she’s going to be the flower girl in her parents’ wedding!

She is very excited…but of course, she always looks pretty pumped.

Even when she’s feeling sleepy, she’s grinning ear to ear.

Unless her parents are getting ready to go out the door, this resilient pup is smiling that happy face for the whole world to enjoy!
