If you’re like me when I’m woken up too early, your reaction is probably a harsh gurgle, grumble, or some other ugly noise that seems inhuman. It’s really quite unattractive, when you think about it.

But when Max the adorable golden retriever is woken from his afternoon slumber, he lets out the cutest hums, whines, and howls that I’ve ever heard. It kinda makes me want to wait around for him to fall asleep just so I can wake him up with a new instrument every time.

Waking up from a nap is never easy, especially those extra-juicy mid-afternoon naps in the sunshine, all snuggled up in a blanket. This struggle isn’t limited to us humans, either. This little otter is not about to be disturbed from his dreams of blissfully floating down a river.

“Nope!” *Hits snooze*

There is no right side of the bed when waking up from a nap. Those first few minutes walking around, trying to catch your bearings, wondering what time it is…they’re never fun. So why not just go back to sleep?!

There comes an age where nap time no longer seems like the best thing ever. Instead, it’s a pointless, childish activity that takes time away from playtime! Of course, later in life, nap time once again becomes appreciated and sometimes necessary…but that’s much later, and this little boy is nowhere near that.

He is definitely not all about this whole napping idea…

Fast-forward five minutes…

Fast-forward 20-30 years…

“Expense reports can wait. Get outta here, Carl.”

Resist the nap for as long as you want, little guy, but sooner or later, the 3 p.m. sandman will come for you!

Ah, cats; they’re total mysteries to most. Why are they so sneaky? Why are they so sassy? Why do they show us their butts? There are countless things that cats do that are totally and uniquely feline, but that’s why we love them! One of the things we’ll never understand, though, is where they choose to rest their heads at night…or rather, the 12-16 hours per day that they sleep.

I guess when you’re sleeping that much, you’ve got to get creative?

1. …It’s not even a cushy armrest.

3. Not only does this look uncomfortable, but it’s outdated. CDs…really?

4. Now you’re just being cliché, cat.

Oh, trash cat. That’s just gross. You win for worst creative decision on where to nap today. I do, however, forgive you, because you definitely made me laugh!

Horses have a ton of stamina, but even they need a break sometimes. But until IKEA starts making horse-sized lounge chairs, where are they supposed to sit?

Well, as it turns out, this inventive horse might be onto something. Not only can horses rest on comfy piles of hay, but they can eat them, too.

This industrious equine is quite literally sitting on a gold mine! By the looks of this video, even the neighbors want to give it a try.

One day, a woman saw a dog hanging around in her yard. He looked healthy, so she knew that he had a home and was getting fed, but when she started to walk back to her house after saying hello…he followed her.

He just looked so tired, so she let him come into her home.

He immediately plopped down, made himself comfortable, and fell fast asleep.

After he had a nice nap, he casually got up and went back home.

Then, this kept happening for a few weeks!

While the woman was alright with the pup catching some zzz’s in her house, she wanted to know why he didn’t do that in his own home…

So she wrote a note asking why he kept leaving home, and attached it to his collar.

The next day, he had a new note on his collar, and this is what it said:

“He lives in a home with 6 children, 2 under the age of 3 he’s trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?”

We’ve all been there…

With six kids running around and screaming all the time, who could blame him for wanting to get out every now and again?!

It’s hard to look away when an adorable animal is taking a nap…especially if they’ve fallen asleep on you when it’s time to go to work in the morning. What are you supposed to do but give that fur baby just five more minutes and explain it to your boss later. They’re just. Too. Cute.
