All weddings are memorable, but capturing a wedding on film gives us the ability to share those memories with the friends and family members who weren’t present — or, in the case of Anthony Palmer and Michelle Hall’s wedding, with the entire world.
This time, the attention was not on the bride and groom (although they were lovely, too), but on the antics of Hall’s feisty four-year-old daughter Anderson, who served as flower girl for the occasion.
This photo was captured by Leah Bullard, a local photographer who specializes in wedding shoots. She asked the bride and groom to kiss for the photo, but they weren’t the only ones who heeded the order.
Far from shy, Anderson threw herself into the role and considered the wedding just as much her special day as it was her mom and stepdad’s. “She was calling herself the bride the whole day,” Bullard says.
Anderson took her role as flower girl very seriously. She obviously had no problem being in the spotlight that day.
“Ike was the ring bearer, and I was the flower girl. Momma was the bride and Anthony kissed her,” Anderson excitedly told reporters.
So when it came time to take a picture of the couple kissing, Anderson hopped on the bandwagon.
It took a few tries to get it exactly right.
Ike seemed a bit surprised by the whole thing.
They nailed it on their second try.
In regard to the second photo, Bullard recalled that Anderson “really went for it that time, and it was hilarious! I strive to capture the moment of the day,” Bullard went on to explain, “and that’s a moment the family can look back on for years to laugh and relive it over again.”
