He fought in the Vietnam War, raised his children by himself, has lived to be the ripe old age of 67, ran for mayor, became an internet sensation, and worked as a male stripper. Perhaps it was experience with making a poor wage as a stripper that made him think that the rent was too damn high.

Jimmy McMillan's rose to internet fame during a speech he made while running for mayor. In the speech, McMillan says that his platform that he is running on is that "the rent is too damn high" and that people everywhere are struggling as a result.

Internet sensations often have pasts that no one is aware of, and Jimmy McMillan's includes struggling as a stripper. He also admitted that in the past he has smoked marijuana, and his favorite movie is Deep Throat, the first pornographic film to contain a plot and character development.

He may not make a great mayor, but at least he's honest.
