Britain Votes To Bomb ISIS In Syria After Heated 10-Hour Debate

Britain is to step up its fight against ISIS as MPs vote overwhelmingly to back military action in Syria. Today’s lengthy vote in Parliament saw MPs vote by 397 votes to 223 (a majority of 174) in favour of action.

The vote means RAF Tornados armed with state of the art missiles could be unleashed on ISIS targets within 24 hours.

Many Labour MPs were swayed by a breathtaking speech from Shadow Foreign Secretary Hilary Benn in favour of military action.

“ISIS hold us in contempt. They hold our values in contempt. They hold our belief in tolerance and decency in contempt. They hold our democracy, the means by which we will make our decision tonight, in contempt. And what we know about fascists is that they need to be defeated. It is now time for us to do our bit in Syria,” he said to sustained applause from both Labour and Tory MPs.

The Prime Minister launched a plea for bombing raids in Iraq to be extended into neighbouring Syria to eradicate the “women-raping, Muslim-murdering, medieval monsters hijacking Islam for their warped ends”.

“These terrorists are plotting to kill us and to radicalise our children right now. Do we work with our allies to degrade and destroy this threat and do we go after these terrorists in their heartlands from where they are plotting to kill British people, or do we sit back and wait for them to attack us?” the PM said.

Having reluctantly granted his MPs a free vote, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn told the Commons the case for air strikes “did not stack up.”

His position as Labour leader looks increasingly fragile after dozens of Labour MPs backed the Tory government, after David Cameron warned Britain had to strike at the heart of ISIS or “wait for them to attack us”.

Outside the Houses of Parliament hundreds of people protested against military action, including one woman who lay down under a lorry. She refused to move from under the HGV for about 30 minutes – bringing traffic to a standstill – as protesters marched through Parliament Square.

The protester was eventually dragged out from under the vehicle by police. Scotland Yard said one man was arrested for highway obstruction and being drunk and disorderly following the protest.

These Are The Weapons Britain Could Use Against ISIS

The title of this article might as well be ‘The Weapons Britain WILL Use Against ISIS’. David Cameron has scheduled in a vote in the commons on Wednesday and it looks like MPs will vote for Britain to join the French and Americans in bombing Syria. He has previously stated that he wouldn’t allow the chamber to vote on the matter unless he was convinced he’d get the motion through.

This is a big blow for the leader of the labour party, Jeremy Corbyn. He is fervent anti war campaigner but he has been unable to bring the party round to his opinion. Instead of imposing the whip he has been forced into giving his MPs a free vote and it looks like more than half of Labour will vote for Britain to commence airstrikes.

Presuming there won’t be a dramatic night where parliament suddenly change their mind, this is the kind of arsenal the government have at their disposal:

The RAF describe the plane as:

‘a two-seat, all-weather, day/night attack and reconnaissance aircraft. It has been in service with the RAF for more than 30 years, but a combination of major upgrade programmes and numerous continual enhancements has kept the aircraft amongst the forefront of all attack aircraft.’

A number of different kinds of missiles can be attached to these elite fighting machines:

Paveway IV bombs

Paveway IV is an advanced and highly accurate weapon which is laser guided. It provides the RAF’s strike force with a state-of-the-art precision guided bomb.

Brimstone

Brimstone is an air-launched ground attack missile. It’s used against mass formations of enemy armour and utilises an active radar homing seeker to ensure accuracy even against moving targets.

Storm Shadow

Storm Shadow is a long-range, stand-off, air-launched missile and is the most advanced weapon of its kind in the world. The missile is equipped with a powerful warhead and is designed to attack important hardened targets and infrastructure such as buried and protected command centres. It has an unbelievably large range of 250km.

We will also be using long range missiles that can be fired from our warships and submarines in the area:

Tomahawk cruise missiles

These missiles have a range of over 1,000 miles and can be redirected to a new target whilst in the air. These low flying rockets can also send back images to a control centre.

The final weapon we have at our disposal are drones. They are currently being deployed in Afghanistan but could be re-routed to the new campaign in Syria.

These are becoming ever more popular in modern warfare, David Cameron has recently purchased twenty new state of the art drones which will replace the now outdated ‘reaper’. These crafts are capable of carrying out both recognisance and ground attack missions.

Whether or not you agree with taking military action in Syria you can’t help but be impressed with the tools the British military have at their disposal.

Irishman’s Controversial Open Letter To ISIS Is An Internet Sensation

We are all aware that there has been quite a lot of shit going on these past few weeks. But what can us regular folk do about it? We just have to grin and bear it and try and carry on with our everyday lives as if nothing has happened. Although many of us may feel a burning desire to speak out, more often than not we don’t.

However, this is not the case for one Irish lad, Finchie Cova. Finchie has had enough of ISIS threatening country after country with their “copy paste fear posting” and “mad 80’s themed propaganda video.” So instead of keeping silent he has decided to take a stand because he “needs to speak.”

In his lighthearted open letter to ISIS he warns the “boys” that if they travel over to Ireland to “piss in their cornflakes,” the Irish “don’t give a left bollock for Alan and what he tells ye to do,” they will be “fucked.”

 Screen Shot 2015-12-01 at 09.45.24 Screen Shot 2015 12 01 at 09

The full letter reads:

“So after the past few weeks of shite that’s been floating around on Facebook I’ve tried to stay out of it. But I can’t, not anymore. Finchie needs to speak.
MY OPEN LETTER TO ISIS.
What’s the craic lads! I don’t think we have officially met. Finchie here from Ireland, we are that non-aggravating, laid back post English island to the west of the bullshit.
So how’s yourself? Been busy I hope. I see from the shallow media outlets and “copy paste” fear posting on social media that ye have been up to your neck in it the past few months. Good for you!
Sorry to be bothering ye boys while ye are busy planning the world’s biggest burning man festival in the name of Alan, (or what ever he’s called) but something has come to our attention to past few days that we need to have a quick “chat” about it.
What’s this I hear about ye adding us to a list of countries called “The Global Coalition” in some mad 80’s themed propaganda video? Ah lads come on will ya, shtep down from 3 legged horse now for a second and rewind the cassette cuz I think ye got it wrong.
First of all, lads were only here for the craic! We have been through too much shite hawking over the past couple of thousand years to be goin all “rouge and shit” and joining in fights we clearly don’t want to be part of. It’s like when a fisht fight breaks out in primary school between Vince and Iano Kelly. Most of us just watch, shout a bit and kick a bin to make noise or whatever, but we don’t bother getting involved (well Vince is English so any sly opportunity for a shneaky kick to the shins and were all over it) we couldn’t be arsed with the hole thing, we’re simply too laid back.
Now keeping that in mind let me let you in on a few tips if you do decide to come over here and piss in our cornflakes.
Don’t judge us on the actions of the lads across the pond. We don’t like that craic. I get that ye have yer fight an all, but dont drag us into it, we don’t give a left bollock for Alan and what he tells ye to do.
Sharon’s law, (or whatever it is) won’t work here. I know a Sharon, and she’s a cunt. We don’t like her either.
Don’t bomb our shit. We just finished building it back after breaking free from the very enemy you also have on your hit list. (if you want tho you can destroy leitrim, absolute shitehole lads I’m not joking)
We have more than one army. 1 official army (actually went training in north cork recently to prepare for your arrival. And yes north cork is exactly like Damascus, especially fermoy on a Friday night).
We also have a few non official, highly secretive, multi talented armies all with the same name (you get used to it after a while) who hate each other but have one very important thing in common…all mad bastards. Let that sink in
By the way the unofficial armies are all trained in guerrilla warfare. Meaning your fucked. Like actually fucked. Unless you want to buy weapons, then some of them will turn a blind eye to ” the cause” and sell ya a few AKs while you visit.
Don’t even think about blowing up Leo Burdocks!!! Consider this your harshest warning!
If any single pub is damaged during your short stay here, we will consider this an act of war!!! And we praise to our God Arthur, we will strike down on you with great vengeance and furious anger on those who attempt to destroy our drinking patterns during a time of crises!
On a final note, remember these and you should be fine:
1. Offies close at ten
2. Don’t leave the immersion on
3. PM me for Bono’s address
4. Don’t bomb shit when the toy show is on
5. Start with leitrim
6. If your looking for virgins you won’t find any on Harcourt street
7. Get a Tesco clubcard. Trust me.
8. If you want to blow up a stadium, go to dalymount please.
9. Go to a water protest, they don’t judge you for where your from, just if you pay or not.
10. Finally, if asked for change, eyes down and keep Fucking walking!
So ISIS its good to meet you. Do yourself a favour and us, stay where you are. You don’t want to come here, were not bothered with the issues you have.
But if you do, we will beat the shit out of all of you using mammies wooden spoon, kilkenny hurlers and the bouncers from the copper faced Jack’s.
Yours unintentionally,
Finchie and the rest of Ireland
EDIT: offaly, offaly too!”

Finchie lays down some serious points for ISIS. Mainly that Ireland have “multi talented armies” who are all “mad bastards,” and if they damage a single pub they will “consider this an act of war.” I’ve come a cross a few Irish people in my time, plus I’ve got Irish blood running through my veins, and if I’ve learnt one thing from them through the years it’s to never mess with their liquor. Those guys and girls go pretty heavy on the alcohol consumption.

Well Finchie certainly has a lot to say in his viral letter to the terror organisation and he’s become a bit of legend online for it:

Screen Shot 2015-12-01 at 09.33.16 Screen Shot 2015 12 01 at 09Screen Shot 2015-12-01 at 09.33.49 Screen Shot 2015 12 01 at 09Screen Shot 2015-12-01 at 09.34.06 Screen Shot 2015 12 01 at 09Screen Shot 2015-12-01 at 09.34.18 Screen Shot 2015 12 01 at 09Screen Shot 2015-12-01 at 09.33.02 Screen Shot 2015 12 01 at 09Finchie challenges the murderous group to rethink their outlook in his own unconventional way. He wants ISIS to step down from their “there legged horse” and “rewind the cassette” because “I think ye got it wrong.” Don’t we all Finchie, don’t we all.

Anonymous Accuses Silicon Valley Firm ‘CloudFlare’ Of Protecting ISIS

A Silicon Valley startup is bolstering its online protections for clients — including ISIS, the hacktivist group Anonymous claims.

‘CloudFlare’ have been accused of assisting ISIS by Anonymous. The secretive online group swore to wage a war on ISIS in the wake of the Paris attacks. They have already managed to close down thousands of twitter accounts that were spewing out ISIS propaganda but now there attention has focused in on this U.S. firm.

Anonymous’s message to ISIS in the wake of the Paris attacks

According to Anonymous, CloudFlare have been helping ISIS improve their online security. The company has over four million customers worldwide, they bolster websites speed and protect them from cyber attacks. The services they provide are stopping Anonymous closing down these pro ISIS sites.

They took to twitter to show their frustration and call on CloudFlare to remove the protection:

Screen Shot 2015-11-30 at 09.55.35 Screen Shot 2015 11 30 at 09

Matthew Prince, CloudFlare’s cofounder told The Register:

“I’d suggest this was armchair analysis by kids – it’s hard to take seriously. Anonymous uses us for some of its sites, despite pressure from some quarters for us to take Anonymous sites offline.”

He insisted that his company had nothing to hide and if the state department or federal authorities got in contact they would be happy to co-operate.

“Even if we were hosting sites for ISIS, it wouldn’t be of any use to us. I should imagine those kinds of people pay with stolen credit cards and so that’s a negative for us.”

Screen Shot 2015-11-30 at 10.12.34 Screen Shot 2015 11 30 at 10

This isn’t the first time the company has run into hot water. Back in 2013 CloudFlare were accused of helping to support an Al Qaeda affiliated website. With 4,000,000 customers it is inevitable that some of the people you deal with are going to be corrupt. But it’s essential that this type of company do not assist terrorists. CloudFlare need to take the accusations seriously and investigate whether there are grounds to Anonymous’s claims.

In a blog post, Prince said they were “protecting free speech.”

“A website is speech. It is not a bomb. There is no imminent danger it creates and no provider has an affirmative obligation to monitor and make determinations about the theoretically harmful nature of speech a site may contain.

If we were to receive a valid court order that compelled us to not provide service to a customer then we would comply with that court order.”

CloudFlare is worth more than $1 billion, Bloomberg reported in March, and expects to go public in 2017.

13 Pretty Shady Things You Should Avoid Googling At All Costs

I’ll be the first person to admit that Google is a wonderful resource, but there are some dark corners of the internet that you shouldn’t even tread with Google’s help.

I’ve caught myself typing some shady things into Google more time than I’d care to mention – and it needs to stop because one day the feds are going to come round and take me away for good. Thankfully the wonderful people of Reddit got together to take the heat off me and revealed some things you should never type into the world’s leading search engine.

Most People Have No Idea What This Man Did During A Terrorist Attack Last Week

Last week, the world was shaken by brutal acts of terrorism in Paris. Over the weekend, many of us gathered in support of those victims, sending prayers and love from across the globe. But sadly, that heartwarming outpour of kindness has had one significant drawback: we have neglected to notice those who are also suffering in Beirut and Baghdad.

Both areas were targets of suicide bombing attacks just hours before the attacks in Paris occurred, but they’ve received little to no coverage in the press. Facebook isn’t offering to let us temporarily filter our profile pictures with their flags’ colors, even though their citizens have felt as much loss and pain as the people of France.

In Beirut, a marketplace erupted as two bombers made their way through the crowd. The blasts took 43 lives and wounded at least 239 others. But those numbers might have been even higher if it weren’t for the brave, split-second decision of one heroic man.

Adel Termos was at the marketplace with his daughter when he saw the first bomb go off.

Chaos and debris flew everywhere as people panicked to find shelter. That’s when Termos noticed a second bomber preparing to attack.

We mourn each of these tragic acts of violence equally, and we urge you to keep all of those who are still suffering in your thoughts. Karuna Ezara Parikh, a blogger from India, shared this poignant image on Facebook in the aftermath of these attacks, which reminds us to not only mourn for Paris, but for the whole world.

I woke this morning deeply disturbed by the news from #Paris, but more amazed by the attention it received on social…
