What Happens During This Seemingly Normal Drum Solo Will Blow You Away

Drumlines at high school football games are always fan favorites. There’s just something about them that makes people pay attention. So when this group trotted onto the field, the fans were already excited.

But a few minutes into the performance, something strange started to happen. That’s when these fans were treated to something they’d never seen before.

You'll Have To Watch This Over And Over Again To Figure Out The Illusion

If this magician was out to baffle the Internet, he has officially succeeded. What starts out as a normal glass of water quickly turns into something puzzling, because what happens after he’s done pouring it is insane.

Half the fun of magic is just letting yourself believe in it, but I can’t help but wonder how I could recreate this illusion. Can you figure out his secret?

Okay, none of us can figure out how he pulled this off. If you know how he did it, please put us out of our misery and tell us in the comments. Until then, I’ll be watching this video on repeat.

The Creatures That Surround Us In The Ocean Are So Fascinating

Today’s incredible collection of videos comes to us courtesy of the amazing animals that live in oceans around the world. From close encounters with giant whales, to adorable interactions with hungry stingrays, what you’re about to see is so cool.

This footage will make you wonder how many more stunning creatures call the ocean home.

All of those animals are wonderful, but how cute is that sea lion? It’s amazing that our oceans are filled with such wonderful creatures, and there’s something intriguing about observing the species that find shelter in parts of the world that we’ve only begun to explore.

Climbers Broke Into The World's Fourth Tallest Building, And What They Saw Is Nuts

Looking up from the base of the Ping An International Finance Centre building in Shenzhen, China, is a harrowing experience. Currently under construction, the immense building is already one of the tallest structures on Earth. Upon completion, it will be the fourth tallest building in the world.

That’s why “On the Roofs” — a secretive free-climbing duo — wanted to climb it while they could. With less security guarding the top at night, they made their way through the building and onto the roof. Eventually, they ran out of stairs and had to scale the building using less conventional methods. What they saw from the top is terrifying.

When the building opens in 2016, visitors will likely be able to climb to the top with the help of elevators, and they won’t have to risk their lives in the process. Although we’ll probably just wait a year to do this the safe way, we respect these daredevils and appreciate their insane footage.

Tourists Were Just Enjoying Their Time On The Water When Something Insane Happened

Wave runners are summertime staples for anyone who lives or vacations near the water. They’re fun, you can rent them almost anywhere, and as long as you have a driver’s license, they’re pretty easy to operate.

But because they’re so easy to ride around, people often find themselves feeling courageous. When that happens, things can get bad quickly. That’s exactly what these people learned on a recent vacation.

Now that was a close call. Had it not been for the quick reaction of the other driver, this would have ended tragically. There’s nothing wrong with seeking a few thrills, but safety should always come first!

It'd Be Hard Not To Get Nervous About This Storm Rolling In

Summer storms are awful, but also beautiful. Seeing the raw power of nature is always an awe-inspiring experience. That being said, it’d be pretty horrifying to see the storm of the century rolling in over the horizon.

But that’s exactly what happened recently in this Belgian town, and what residents captured on film is completely terrifying.

It’s insane how quickly a nice summer day can turn into a nightmare. Still, you can’t help but appreciate the beauty in the situation…although that’s probably a bit easier to say while watching it on a computer screen.

You May Know These Historical Photos...But You've Never Seen Them Like This Before

Looking at old historical photos is like stepping back in time. However, many of the most meaningful historical photos were taken long before the invention of color photography. While beautiful to look at, these black and white photos are harder to connect with, since we’re all so used to living in a world of vivid colors.

This is where photo colorizer Dana Keller comes in. Keller understands the impact that a properly colorized photograph can have on viewers. His speciality is bringing historical photographs to life with the addition of captivating, accurate color. Check out his work in the examples below.

Louis Armstrong, 1946

Civil Rights March, 1963

Dust Bowl, 1936

Comedian Ernie Hare expressing thoughts on Prohibition, 1920

George Bruchette, British tattoo artist, ca. 1930

Girls delivering ice, 1918

Redhawk of Oglala Sioux, 1905

Harry Houdini, 1912

Babe Ruth, ca. 1920

Marie Curie, ca. 1905

The difference that a bit of color can make on these photographs is incredible. These were moving photos to begin with, but Keller breathed new life into them. For more colorized historical photos, make sure to visit Keller’s website and follow him on Facebook.
