Most People Have No Idea What This Man Did During A Terrorist Attack Last Week

Last week, the world was shaken by brutal acts of terrorism in Paris. Over the weekend, many of us gathered in support of those victims, sending prayers and love from across the globe. But sadly, that heartwarming outpour of kindness has had one significant drawback: we have neglected to notice those who are also suffering in Beirut and Baghdad.

Both areas were targets of suicide bombing attacks just hours before the attacks in Paris occurred, but they’ve received little to no coverage in the press. Facebook isn’t offering to let us temporarily filter our profile pictures with their flags’ colors, even though their citizens have felt as much loss and pain as the people of France.

In Beirut, a marketplace erupted as two bombers made their way through the crowd. The blasts took 43 lives and wounded at least 239 others. But those numbers might have been even higher if it weren’t for the brave, split-second decision of one heroic man.

Chaos and debris flew everywhere as people panicked to find shelter. That’s when Termos noticed a second bomber preparing to attack.

Instead of running in the other direction, Termos went straight for the man and tackled him. The bomb went off, killing both men. With his brave final act, Termos saved hundreds of lives.

We mourn each of these tragic acts of violence equally, and we urge you to keep all of those who are still suffering in your thoughts. Karuna Ezara Parikh, a blogger from India, shared this poignant image on Facebook in the aftermath of these attacks, which reminds us to not only mourn for Paris, but for the whole world.

I woke this morning deeply disturbed by the news from #Paris, but more amazed by the attention it received on social…

A Stranger Started Running To Help A Dog In Need, But What He Found Baffled Him

Looking out his window, this man saw a pack of stray dogs roaming the streets. It wasn’t anything out of the ordinary, until he saw something strange. One of the dogs had his head stuck in something that could kill him.

Leaping into action, he raced after the dog to try and help:

Had this stranger not come along, we shudder at the thought of what could have happened to the dog. Without the ability to eat or drink — let alone breathe properly — he surely would have passed away.

A Dash Cam Captured This Patrolman Saving Someone's Life

When Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Eric Devers heard that there was an accident up ahead, he leapt into action. Because he was the first one on the scene, it was his job to assess the damage and to determine whether or not anyone was hurt. But when he got there, Devers realized that one man was experiencing the worst-case scenario.

That’s when the officer did something truly heroic.

Receiving a Certificate of Recognition on August 13, 2015, Officer Devers truly embodies what it means to be a hero. With officers like this on the road, the world is a much safer place.

When You Find Out What This Hero Service Dog Did For His Blind Owner...Wow

Would you jump in front of a car to save someone you love?

Right now, in upstate New York, a hero is recovering from a very scary accident. Figo, a trained service dog, took his job of protecting his owner, a blind woman named Audrey Stone, very seriously when he saved her from getting potentially killed by a school bus. While service dogs aren’t taught to jump in front of oncoming traffic to protect their owners, Figo knew that his owner was in serious danger…

When Figo saw the car coming, he did his best to take the majority of the blow.

He threw himself at the front of the mini school bus before it hit 62-year-old Stone head-on.

After the crash, he had lost most of the flesh on his front right leg, but for the most part, just wanted to make sure his owner was alright.

He kept trying to edge toward her despite his own injury, looking to make sure that he saved his owner.

When Stone was taken away in an ambulance, Figo seemed lost and confused.

While Stone suffered a fractured elbow and ankle, fractured ribs, and a blow to the head, all she could say at the scene of the accident was, “Where’s Figo?”

Figo was whisked away to the vet to have his injury wrapped and attended to…

And he’s doing just fine now.

Also, he’s getting all the media attention he deserves!

Figo just can’t wait to be reunited with his owner once she fully recovers from her injuries…

Which could have been much worse if he hadn’t thought fast and been so brave!

Hearing witnesses and Stone herself describe the miracle is enough to bring tears to your eyes!

If this isn’t a perfect example of going above and beyond, I’m not sure what is. Someone get this dog a medal!

The Moment This Young Man Accepts His Diploma Will Bring You To Tears

Getting a college diploma is a very important step in the lives of many people. Not only is the ceremony one of grandeur, it is essential to have a college degree if you want to get a job in many fields. It can change your life personally and professionally. Above all else, the ceremony provides you with unforgettable moments.

Like this moment, for instance. Christopher Norton is a college football player who suffered a spinal cord injury on the field. Doctors said he may never walk again, but when it came time for him to accept his diploma, something miraculous happened.

Doctors initially gave him a 3 percent chance of ever moving below the neck again. He didn’t let that stop him. He kept pursuing his dream of walking across the stage to get his diploma, and with a little help from his fiancée, he did just that.

This Car Stopped In The Middle Of A Busy Highway...What A Cop Did Next Will Truly Shock You

A police officer was patrolling the highway in Oklahoma when he saw some curious vehicular behavior. Moving in, he started to think that maybe the driver was drunk, or worse. In any case, something serious was happening inside. But when he pulled up to the window, he never expected to find this inside. (via KCCI)Some would say the police officer and the nurse were just doing their jobs, but to that boy and his father, they are heroes.
