Green Day is an American pop punk rock band formed in 1987. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist and backing vocalist Mike Dirnt, drummer Tre cool and guitarist and backing vocalist Jason White, who became a full member after playing in the band as a session and touring guitarist for 13 years.
There is a complete, 20 track Green Day album titled Cigarettes and Valentines. It was stolen from the band's studio in 2003. They started over and recorded and released American Idiot instead!
American Idiot is the seventh studio album by Green Day. The album is inspired by the work of bands such as The Who. The album follows the story of Jesus of Suburbia, a character with “antihero” image created by Billie Joe Armostrong.
Cigarettes and Valentines it’s till today an unreleased studio album that would have been the proper follow up to “Warning”. Billie Joe Armostrong said the album’s material was “good stuff”. Dirnt admitted that backups of the tapes were made but claims that “it just wasn’t the same as the originals”.
