Black Sabbath forced The Eagles to stop recording Hotel California—but it went on to win multiple grammys!
When you think of Black Sabbath, you do not think quiet. The Eagles had to experience the heavy metal band's loud sound firsthand when they were recording their album Hotel California.
While the Eagles were recording Hotel California, Black Sabbath was recording their seventh album, Technical Ecstasy, in the studio next door at Criteria Studios in Miami.
The Eagles were forced to stop recording multiple times because Black Sabbath was playing so loudly and the sound was coming through the walls. It all turned out OK though! Hotel California was a grammy-award winning album.
