John Tyler, our 10th President, still has 2 living grandchildren, How is that even possible?!

John Tyler, the 10th President of the United States, was in office from April 4, 1841, to March 4, 1845. Although he wasn't elected into office, he was the Vice President serving under William Henry Harrison. Harrison was the president for a month before he fell sick with a cold and passed away. Thus, John Tyler became the 10th President of the United States!

Remember, John Tyler was born in 1790, became President in the 1840's, and two of his grandchildren are still living! You might be thinking to yourself; How can three generations be alive for over 200 years? The answer is simple.

Harrison Tyler explained in an interview that his father and grandfather had two marriages. During their first marriages, they had plenty of children - but then they remarried later in their life. His grandfather was 75 when Harrison's father was born, who was 63 when Harrison was born!
